Well-known Nutritionist and Dietitian Munmun Ganeriwal was the speaker at a Food & Fitness Workshop, organised by the Navbharat Times, on Saturday, 13th Jan 2018 for their women patrons.
Speaking on the eve of the Makar Sankranti festival, Munmun spoke about the Indian tradition of eating sweets on festivals or sugar with yoghurt (“dahi sakkhar”) before setting out to do anything important. She explains the benefits of eating sugarcane and drinking sugarcane juice vs other cold pressed juices. And goes ahead to debunk the myth that sugar is bad or harmful for health.
